US WOMEN'S NATIONAL TEAM PLAYS SWEDEN FOR SPOT IN ALGARVE CUP FINAL
March begins for the US Women's National Team with a crucial match vs Sweden at the 2010 Algarve Cup in Portugal. The winner will advance to the final on 3 March. So far in the tournament, the US has won both its games and lead their group with 6 points. The US defeated Iceland 2-0 to open the tournament and followed that up with a 2-1 win over Norway. Sweden, who currently have 4 points, tied Norway and defeated Iceland 5-1 to set up the all important game tomorrow. With a win or tie the US advances to its 8th straight championship match.
