As the official first week of fall has begun, we wanted to let you know about all the other happenings with Horned Frog athletics. Its been a great start for TCU. The football team is now ranked #23 in the nation after moving their record to 4-0 for the first time since 2003, following their 48-7 win over SMU. The Frogs have the top ranked defense in the nation and they travel to #2 Oklahoma this coming weekend to face the nation's top rated offense. Should be a great game.
The volleyball team is off to a great start with a 12-2 record. They just returned from a weekend trip to Minnesota where they faced #8 Minnesota, North Carolina and Winthrop. Following a tough loss to the Gophers, the Frogs got wins over the Tar Heels and Winthrop to finish second in the tournament. They head to UNLV and San Diego State to try to improve on their 1-0 conference record after their win over New Mexico last week.
Our defending national champion equestrian team started their season this past weekend with wins over Texas Tech and West Texas A&M. The Frogs look to have another great year.
Finally, the men's golf team opened their fall season with a second place finish in Lawrence, Kansas at the Kansas Invitational.
Its a great start to the year for all the Horned Frogs. You can follow all our teams at http://www.gofrogs.com/.
