Saturday night saw another great game, as we defeated Utah 2-0, in front of a standing room only crowd of over 1,700 fans. The Frogs off to a quick start controlling the possession of the game with both outside backs, Lindsay Holmes and Chelsea Wilgenburg-making her second straight start on the season-getting into the attack a ton. After going into the break the pressure was kept on the Utes as Jordan Calhoun got her third game winning goal of the Mountain West Conference Season.
The defense really did a great job as they Wilgenburg, Holmes, Katie Taylor, Cheryl Martin, Courtney Johnson, Alex Meschalske and Emma Geyer held to the Utes to only 3 shots in the entire match and non on goal. Martin got even more involved as she scored the second goal of the match on a header off of a corner kick.
