As was to be expected last night's game versus UNLV was a great battle and ended in a 1-1 draw. We out shot the rebels 29-12 and had 7 corners to their 1, but couldn't find the back of the net. Every conference game is going to be a battle and both teams left everything on the field. I was especially impressed with how our group fought back after giving up an goal early in the second half. Between BYU, Utah and UNLV these three teams have dominated MWC play over the past 5 years. With a win, draw and tight 1-0 loss, we've proved we're ready to step in compete in the upper echelon of the conference.
It was also senior night and we honored our three seniors-Courtney Johnson, Sara Schneider and Caroline Starns. These three young women have meant so much to our program over the past four years and are the backbone to the success we're having. They have been the heart and soul of this team and will be missed after the end of the season.
Cojo, Sara and Caroline thank you so much for all you have done, it has been an honor to have the opportunity to work with you and I can't even begin to share with you how proud I am of each and everyone of you! You've all got great futures ahead of you and will forever be apart of family here at TCU Soccer!
