Championship Game in Lubbock

Today the we played in the championship game in the Texas Tech Tournament against SEC opponent, Alabama.Overall, TCU outshot the Crimson Tide, 19-8, including 10-1 in the first half. The Purple and White also recorded a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks for the match. Lizzy Karoly led the offensive attack for the Frogs with four shots attempts, while Jackie Torda chipped in with three. On defense, Kira Michelson-Bartlett had a solid first outing, saving four shots. Earning all-tournament team honors on Sunday were Jordan Calhoun, Nikki Wilbur and Katie Taylor. With the loss, TCU moved to 5-4-0 on the year, while Alabama improved to 4-3-0.

TCU will resume action next Friday against Stephen F. Austin. Start time for the match is set for 7 p.m. in Fort Worth.
