Tonight we played the lady lumberjacks of Stephen F. Austin State on a great night for soccer. The scoring started half way through the first half when senior Lizzy Karoly netted her fourth goal on the year from a Jordan Calhoun pass. Jordan Calhoun would continue the scoring in the second half with three goals of her own; including a booming shot from well over 30 yards out giving Calhoun her first career hat-trick as a horned frog. Katy Taylor also netted a goal in the 5-2 rout over SFA off a freekick that she ripped through the SFA wall.
With the win, we moved to 6-4-0 on the year, while Stephen F. Austin fell to 3-6-0 on the season. The Frogs played in front of 1,525 spectators on Friday night. The Horned Frogs will next be in action on Sunday against Texas Woman's University. Start time for the match is set for 1 p.m. at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.
